Cpl. Cody Gravley uses a surveillance scope Aug. 31 on Marine Corps Air Station Futenma. Approach and arrival controllers use the scope to assist aircraft in making their final approach. Safety measures like this contribute to the overall safety of Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, MCAS Futenma, Marine Corps Installations Pacific-Marine Corps Base Camp Butler, Japan which reached 100,000 flight hours Oct. 1. Gravley is an air traffic controller with Marine Air Control Squadron 4, Marine Air Control Group 18, 1st Marine Air Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
