LtCol Anthony Drew Ramey is a native of Russell, Kentucky and graduated from Georgetown College in May of 2002 with a BS in Chemistry. He commissioned in December 2004 and winged as a Naval Aviator in December 2008. LtCol Ramey is a graduate of The Basic School, Expeditionary Warfare School, The Marine Corps Command and Staff College and the Rutgers Business School (MBA).
LtCol Ramey’s service in the operating forces include tours with VMFA(AW)-242/MAG-12 (January 2009 – January 2012) in Iwakuni, Japan and H&HS MCAS Futenma (June 2015 – April 2019) in Okinawa, Japan. He has served as Squadron Adjutant, Legal Officer, Communications Officer, Schedules Writer, Aircraft Maintenance Officer, Operations Officer and Executive Officer.
LtCol Ramey was assigned outside the operating forces as the Marine Officer Instructor at Rutgers University (February 2012 – May 2015), Aide de Camp to the Director Marine Corps Staff/HQMC (May 2019 – July 2020) and Deputy Warfighting Branch Head of Programs, Analysis and Evaluation/DC P&R (Aug 2020 – May 2021).
LtCol Ramey currently serves as the Commanding Officer of H&HS MCAS Futenma in Okinawa, Japan.
