Colonel Timothy G. Hudson

Col Timothy “Ralphie” Hudson is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in 2002. Col Hudson assumed command of Marine Corps Air Station Futenma on 25 June, 2026.   

Training Assignments: The Basic School (2003), VT-6 (2004), VT-7 (2004-2006), VMAT-203 (2006-2007).

Operational Assignments and Billets: Marine Attack Squadron 211 Powerline OIC, Quality Assurance Officer, Assistant Operations Officer (2007-2010) , 31st MEU Deployment (2009); Marine Attack Squadron 211 Operations Officer, Maintenance Officer, Executive Officer (2013-2016), SPMAGTF 15.1 Crisis Response (2014-2015); Marine Attack Squadron 542 Maintenance Officer (2018); Marine Attack Squadron 231 Maintenance Officer, Executive Officer (2018-2019); Marine Air Group 14 Executive Officer (2019-2020); Marine Attacks Squadron 231 Commanding Officer June 2020 – Dec 2021.

Marine Corps Support and Headquarters Assignments: HQMC M&RA MMOA-2 Fixed Wing Company Grade Monitor (2011-2013), HQMC AVN Fixed Wing Occupational Field Sponsor(ASM) and Aide-de-Camp (2016-2018); HQMC AVN AV-8B Requirements Officer (2021-2022).

PME and Joint Assignments: Expeditionary Warfare School Resident (2010-2011); USMC Command and Staff Non-Resident (2014); CMC Fellow to Dept of Homeland Security (TLS) (2022-2023); Joint Combined Warfare School (2022); U.S Forces Korea Commander’s Initiative Group (2023-2024), U.S. Forces Korea J33 Current Operations Chief (2024-2026).

Col Hudson has accumulated over 2,000 flight hours and 1,700 hours in the AV-8B.
