A U.S. Marine Corps MV-22B Osprey prepares to land after a flight at Rimba Air Base during the 4th biennial Brunei Darussalam International Defense Exhibition, Dec. 4, 2013. The MV-22 is the world’s first production tilt-rotor aircraft. This aircraft’s tilt-rotor technology is revolutionizing military assault support in a manner not seen since the introduction of helicopters more than 50 years ago. Unlike any aircraft before it, the MV-22 successfully blends the vertical flight capabilities of helicopters with the speed, range, altitude and endurance of fixed-wing transports. This unique combination provides an unprecedented advantage to warfighters, allowing current missions to be executed more effectively, and new missions to be accomplished. BRIDEX 13 is an opportunity for networking and sharing technology with regional partners and allies which builds strong multilateral relationships, increases cooperation and enhances preparedness for disasters and other contingency operations. Displays and demonstrations provide DOD and U.S. companies an opportunity to showcase U.S. defense capabilities across land, sea, air and security spectrums. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt.
